In 1999, Louis Van Ingelgem founded the Brussels Berchmans Consort.
This choir consisted of members of the Alea Choir from Londerzeel as well as former pupils and teachers of St Jan Berchmans College.
Louis Van Ingelgem - himself a teacher of aesthetics - conducted the BBC choir for 21 years.
In early 2020, a virus forced the choir to take a break.
In late 2022, the choir restarted under the wings of Anne-Héloïse Gevers and Farhad Garayusifli.
In summer 2024, the choir was renamed Brussels Berchmans Resonance.
